Things to take into consideration when picking out the right veil.
1. Make sure that the comb is sewn onto the veil in the right direction. This will be an issue if the veil has diamonds or a pattern. You want to make sure that the curved part of the comb is against the head and you are able to see the diamonds or design. I have had a few brides that came to me with beautiful veils but since the comb was sewn on wrong, you couldnt see the design or the diamonds were facing the wrong direction. Make sure that you try your veil on before you buy it. Or if you are ordering one make sure that you it way before you wedding so that you can send it back and get a new one if something is wrong with it.
2. Look for veils with wire combs. You want to be able to secure your veil in place with bobby pins and the best one to do this with is one with a wire comb. The wires are looped in a way that you can stick bobby pins through them to secure them to your hair. The plastic combs usually do not have anything to put booby pins through and therefore are kinda difficult to secure to the hair.
3. Make sure that the veil is not heavy. If your comb is heavy then your hairstylist may have a problem getting it to stay in your hair without wieghing your hair down. The veil is usually placed right below the crown of the head and that is usually where the volume is. You don't want your veil to pull down on that part of your hair because that is usually the section of hair that is teased and sprayed to give you a littile height.
